Dr. Bates earned her Ph.D. in psychology from Colorado State University, focusing on the study of human learning and memory. Previous courses taught include General 心理学, 研究方法, Cognitive 心理学, 心理学 of Learning, and 历史 of 心理学. While at Colorado State University, she also served as the Learning Programs Assistant Coordinator at The Institute for Learning and Teaching (TILT). While in this position she delivered workshops on academic skills, held one-on-one academic coaching sessions, and supervised student-led tutoring and study groups.
